I had never even heard of The Pearl Source before making this purchase, so I was a bit skeptical about acquiring such an item on-line, sight unseen. The whole point of this purchase for me was to get a strand of black pearls for my mother, who years ago had spoken fondly about a black pearl piece that someone from her childhood had owned. I wanted to get something for her in that vein but if I was going to do it I wanted to do it right: meaning good quality, in the size and style that I wanted.
So I gave The Pearl Source a shot and was not disappointed. While I have not seen the necklace in person I liked what I saw in the picture my mom sent me of it. Likewise, she is thrilled with it in both appearance and quality, which I suppose is a solid endorsement itself.
What really sticks out to me though, is the customer service I received from The Pearl Source. They had the product delivered in under a week and kept me up to date via email for every step of the process. More to the point, my mom had ordered a pair of black pearl earrings at the same time I ordered this necklace and while she liked both pieces, she was dissatisfied with the color disparity between the earrings and the strand. We contacted The Pearl Source, who provided us a shipping label for sending the earrings and necklace back so they could do a color match for the earrings. My mom also opted for a smaller size pearl for the earrings. All of this was handled (the ship back, color match, size change, associated credit return posted, and item returned) in a week's time, again with the same step by step communications I mentioned a moment ago. The pearls of both pieces match well now, mom is tickled pink, and I'm happy at how smoothly it all went down.
My first visit with The Pearl Source did not just satisfy but impressed. Solid products, respectable prices, and excellent customer service. I will absolutely be returning here in the future.
